DESCRIPTION

Artist Marianna Kavallieratou attempts to detect the physiognomy of “pauses” and “rests” within this noisy Arcade, which stands in between two of the busiest avenues of the city centre. Alterations in movement, direction and flow conducted by dancers, visitors and passengers at the same time have also inspired the artist to create a performance that captures the kinetic behavior of people within the Arcade. The spacious main passageway of the Arcade becomes a welcoming place for performance and guests to coexist and, finally, take some “rest”.
